Minterra Permits Drilling at Fish Project in Nevada
Minterra Resource Corp. (“Minterra" or the “Company") is pleased to announce that they have submitted the permit notification to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for the initial phase of drilling on the Fish Project in the Walker Lane Mineral Belt Nevada. Detailed surface mapping and rock chip sampling has identified three target areas with gold values of <0.005 ppm to 10.05 ppm (0.293 ounces per ton) gold plus values of <0.2 ppm to 563 ppm (16.4 ounces per ton) silver. Zinc values are also highly anomalous returning from 11 ppm to >10,000 ppm (over 30%) zinc. The highest values came from historic prospects and minor underground workings which are along dikes in possible fault zones that cut the favorable host rocks. Phase 1 will drill 5,000 feet in seven reverse circulation drill holes. The target zones are labeled from south to north on the accompanying Target Zones Map. Drill holes at Targets 1, 2, and 3 will test down dip from surface rock chip sampling which returned: Target Zones Gold Silver Zinc Target 1 0.012 to 0.105 opt Au 0.92 to 9.8 opt Ag 0.7% to 8.0% Zn Target 2 0.006 to 0.043 opt Au 0.02 to 11.7 opt Ag 0.11% to >30% Zn Target 3 <0.001 to 0.293 opt Au <0.02 to 4.58 opt Ag <0.001 to 6.6% Zn Target Sections A-A’ and C-C’ are idealized cross sections which indicate how the drill hole locations and orientations are designed to test the most prospective alteration, geology, and structural controls which could control economic mineralization. The geology and target mineralization on the sections is interpreted from the geologic mapping and surface sampling completed in 2007. The Fish project is in the Lone Mountain Mining District of Esmeralda County Nevada and consists of 58 unpatented lode mining claims covering approximately 1275 acres. The property encompasses a widespread skarn-zone in the Proterozoic age Reed Dolomite and Deep Spring Formations cut by Tertiary age lamprophyric, silicic, and rhyolitic dikes and sills. The project area is adjacent to the Cretaceous age Lone Mountain Pluton which comprises the main massif of Lone Mountain E.L. “Buster?
