Minterra Completes Data Agreement with Newmont
Minterra Resource Corp. (“Minterra" or the “Company") is pleased to announce that it has completed an agreement with Newmont Mining Corp. (Newmont) whereby Minterra will acquire data for the Golden Snow Project in the Battle Mountain Eureka Trend. Early stage geologic mapping, geophysics, and soil geochemistry completed by Minterra during 2006 has indicated the presence of gold bearing structures similar to those encountered on the adjoining Staccato property, with coincident trace element geochemical and geophysical anomalies. Barite veining, found localized along fault zones is very similar to some of the significant gold-bearing features at Barrick Gold Corporations Archimedes deposit and the mineralization reported by Staccato along the Ratto Ridge Fault zone. Work is ongoing to identify drill targets for testing in 2007. The acquisition of the data will help in directing the planned 2007 exploration program. For further information on the Company projects Minterra will be at booth #1717 at the upcoming Resource and Investment Conference in Vancouver on January 21 and 22, 2007. E.L. “Buster" Hunsaker III CPG, a Qualified Person, has reviewed the technical disclosure contained herein and accepts responsibility for such disclosure.
