Mr. Taylor trained initially in Civil Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer in British Columbia and Chartered Engineer (Energy Institute, United Kingdom). Over the last twenty-five years he has worked primarily in the energy sector with management and consulting experience covering the spectrum from R&D, through corporate planning and strategy, and operations.

Mr Taylor co-founded Highquest Engineering in 1984 (now QuestAir Technologies); was later responsible for Corporate Planning at Westcoast Energy for 8 years, and subsequently ran Westcoast's Canadian natural gas fuelling business. In 1999, he founded Intuit Strategies Inc., from which he provides management consulting services to companies facing major changes in their business. He is a past President of the Canadian Institute of Energy.
