Dr. Poling spent 29 years as a Professor with the Department of Mining and Mineral Process Engineering at UBC. He was director of Dia Met Minerals and is currently the President of Trigon Exploration ltd., a diamond exploration company. His expertise covers all areas of mineral processing with particular emphasis on solid/liquid separation, froth flotation, gold recovery, diamond processing, bulk materials handling and environmental protection. His specializations include submarine tailings disposal, slurry flows in pipelines and acid mine drainage. He is currently Senior Vice-President Rescan Environmental Services Ltd. He is extremely well published and has chaired numerous technical committees.
